Gary trains his athletes/clients every day with what he believes is the most valuable, effective and unparalleled fitness program on the planet, Crossfit. This relatively new fitness phenomenon involves executing constantly varied functional movements at high intensity. Crossfit's methodology makes it possible to train anyone from an Olympic athlete to your 75 year old grandmother. Whether it be fighting a forest fire or picking up your laundry basket, the functional movements that lay the foundation of Crossfit undoubtedly transfer to real life situations and can apply to any physical task. Gary's Crossfit programming strives to increase an individuals physical capacity in all ten components of fitness; Cardio-respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, speed, agility, balance, flexibility, power, coordination and accuracy. The concepts of Crossfit can be used to better your current workout regimen or simply improve your ADL (activities of daily living) by moving more efficiently and safely.
Nutrition is also an integral part of Crossfit. The diets for which Gary specializes and greatly believes in are the Zone and Paleolithic diets. The prescription or recommendation of these diets is solely based on how they make you as an individual look, feel and perform. Observations in the Crossfit community and beyond show the Zone and/or Paleolithic diets to be without question the most effective diets at fulfilling this goal.
